Cash gave a seminar about Civil Forfeiture on October 29th, 2020 in tandem with Chas Short who spoke on litigating white collar crime. Cash was able to use his extensive first hand knowledge from working on forfeiture cases to give the ins-and-outs of forfeiture law—it’s history and it’s current implications. This seminar covered everything from specific definitions of forfeitures and what can cause a forfeiture, to the intricacies of specific case law surrounding forfeitures. This seminar was hosted through Connectionology.

On January 30th, 2022, Cash spoke at the National Trial Lawyers Summit with Douglas Beam, Elizabeth Zwibel, Howard Nations, and David Wenner. Cash provided a discussion of the ethical issues that arise from a client’s right to testify, clients who insist on falsely testifying and clients threatening to testify falsely. He also explored other ethical issues that arise in the course of representing a client including how to handle well-meaning friends and family members who come to client meetings, refundable or non-refundable flat fees, and client confidentiality and secrets learned in the course of representation.
